We will never charge you a copay. You will never receive surprise or additional bills from us.

We do not spend time on administrative tasks such as filing claims or negotiating with insurance companies for network inclusion. Therefore, Dr. Woerner has more time to spend with her patients and their families.

Dr. Woerner is able to enroll fewer patients, which enables her to provide more comprehensive and personalized care.

This membership model allows for flexibility and portability. Should you switch jobs or move to a new location, you can remain a member.

Dr. Woerner loves being able to practice as a part of this membership model! By having longer appointment times and a low patient panel size, she is able to focus on the doctor-patient relationship, which can improve patients long-term health.

Family Rates: Families with multiple enrolled siblings, will pay a maximum of $500/month.

Is a Membership Model worth it?
At Dot's Place, we think so!
Membership based healthcare, can actually be more affordable than your monthly insurance premiums, plus bills and copays.

We will never charge you a copay, and you will never receive surprise or additional bills from us.
Families may choose to pair their Dot's Place membership, with a lower-cost insurance policy.

Please discuss with your insurance representative about what plan may be best for you.

We suggest that your family considers maintaining a traditional PPO plan, a Short Term Medical (high-deductible-catastrophic) plan, or a Health-Sharing Ministry plan.
Our availability not only allows for personalized & comprehensive care, but it can also help prevent unnecessary trips to the Emergency Room or Urgent Care. This accessibility directly saves your family money!

One trip to the Emergency Room can be equivalent to an entire YEAR of membership with us!

One trip to Urgent Care can be equivalent to one MONTH of membership with us!
Finally, Dr. Woerner's 24/7 accessibility, to be available when your child is sick or when you are worried, is priceless.
Does my child still need a health insurance plan?

Yes. Even though Dot's Place does not bill your insurance, we still recommend that all patients maintain health insurance coverage.

Should your child need hospital based or specialty care, we want to make sure that they are covered.

Why do we still need health insurance?
What is not covered by my membership fee?
Hospitalizations/Surgeries, Emergency Room Care, & Urgent Care Visits

With Dr. Woerner's 24/7 accessibility, Emergency Room & Urgent Care visits are less frequent than in a traditional practice.

However, if your child has an event that requires them to be hospitalized, have surgery or be cared for in the Emergency Room or Urgent Care setting, these services will be billed to your health insurance.
Vaccines

Dot's Place administers all recommended childhood vaccines. Vaccine costs are billed to the patient's insurance.

Patients who are uninsured, under-insured, or otherwise qualify for the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program are encouraged to receive their vaccines at their local county health department, as a cost savings to the family.
Prescription Medications

Prescriptions will be sent to your pharmacy. Your pharmacy will bill your insurance for prescription medications.
Specialist Referrals

Longer office visits and frequent follow ups with Dr. Woerner reduce the need for external referrals.

Still, some children will require more extensive management by a specialist. Medical services provided by a specialist will be billed to your insurance by that physician.
Out of office Procedures

Dr. Woerner is able to collect basic labs, as part of the membership fee, in her office. Certain specialty lab work & all Imaging (x-rays, ultrasounds, CTs & MRIs) will be performed offsite. The laboratory &/or imaging center will bill your insurance directly.
How is my membership billed?

Membership fees are automatically charged monthly to your bank account or to your credit/debit card on file.

Health Savings Accounts (HSA) are accepted. Check your individual policy to verify eligibility.
How do I cancel my membership?

There is no penalty for cancellation.

Your membership will terminate 30 days from the time of notice.
Other Considerations
-
If you are uninsured, you may still become a Dot's Place Member. However, as noted above, we encourage all members to continue to carry health insurance coverage.

Office visits cannot be submitted to insurance for reimbursement. The visits are not billed individually but rather are an unlimited benefit of the membership fee payment. The insurance will not associate the membership fee or some proration of that fee to a particular visit encounter.

The Membership Agreement for Program Services is not a contract for health or accident insurance, does not provide healthcare or accident coverage, and is not subject to regulation by the Texas Department of Insurance.

There is no concern that Dr. Woerner is out of network with your insurance; she does not bill insurance.
